White Mountain Country Club -- Some things should never change
Review by: Geoffrey Williams At 6500 yards this course will not leave you muttering expletives and nursing a sore back. It is deceptively challanging with it's 200 yard plus par 3's and exquisite putting surfaces. The fairways are primarily bent grass with rye blue grass roughs. The tee boxes are large, flat and cut perfectly. Each hole is framed beautifly by a mature stand of Ponderosa Pines with the houses well back from the course. The blend of the natural surroundings with the golf course is so well balanced that it is hard to imagine an architect other than the almighty. A round of golf at White Mountain Country Club leaves no after-taste other than the desire to get another quick 9 before you go home.
