Far Corner Golf Course - Third Nine Course -- *Great course*
Review by: Beginner golfer	This course is beautiful and well-kept. Much nicer than other public courses I have seen. We played nine holes, and there is a lot of variety and challenging obstacles.

Country Club of Billerica -- *New design poor, operation run poorly...*
Review by: Golf Pro	The scenery is nice and price is about average for a public course, but here's a few pet peaves: - The course was redesigned a few years back to try to squeeze a few more stokes onto par by making it a par 69 from the original 66. The results were in my estimation, terrible. They basically redesignated two long par 4's into short par fives, combined to par 3's into a par 4, and added a 50 yard new par 3. - The proshop is run extremely unprofessionally by retirees and kids under 16. I've also witnessed the "owner" hanging around and acting like a yahoo. Let's put it this way, not your typically golf links proprietor! - The greens are colored during the summer with some bluish dye that gets all over your clothes, clubs, and ball. I suspect it covers up the burned out yellow spots on the greens. - Finally, I've never seen greens like the ones at this place. They are kept long and are, by far, the slowest I've ever encountered. I've literally seen playing partners skull a wedge from 60 yards and it doesn't even roll off the green. Weird.

"course quality"
This golf course is sneaky long, but it is made difficult because the greens won't hold a shot longer than a nine iron, the greens are too small and there is very little space on either side of most of the greens to make a chip shot. This course is much poorer than several public layouts and the membership is both expensive and poorly managed.

September 2004.. Just an average course. Not taken care of like it was in the early 90's. Cartpaths nearly undriveable due to broken pavement and potholes. Several greens in poor condition. Sandtraps washedout. Overrated and Overpriced!!!!

A great north-west Ind. course. Just off of Rt. 41.Reasonably priced-senior discounts-early bird specials-as well as yearly membership rates.-Has a great practice range and putting area. Seems that they are always working to improve the course. Very friendly management. If you are in the area, you should try it!

Shenandoah Country Club
"Fun little course"
Shenandoah is where I learned to play, and it was great for that purpose. The fairways are somewhat narrow, but that kept me more focused on where to put the shot. The club is in the process of improving the course--drainage has been an issue--and it should reallly be nice in the spring.
