Riverton Golf Club -- Great value/tough holes
Review by: Howard Johnson This course starts with the hardest starting hole in the Rochester area. Dogleg par 5 with Genesee River on the left the entire way. Second hole is a tough par 4 with bunkers in front of the green. Water comes into play on 5 holes. Greens and fairway are normally in great condition. It's a 9 holer, but for a good challenge at a nice price, you can't beat Riverton. I now live in AZ and refuse to pay what they want for a round out here.

Hampshire Country Club -- Short but sweet
Review by: Anonymous Like Stanwich in Greenwich, CT, Hampshire is a short course that demands good ball control. Small greens and tight fairways make this a course to tune your game. The back is strong, but could use another 40+ yards on the 10th. The Par 3s on the front are as tough as any (145, 230 and 212). The 8th is a little tricked out, and seems to be the only true weakness. It's suprisingly under-rated and has the potential to be a great gem in the Westchester area. Greens tend to be a bit on the slow side, (9) but the potential of the course is there waiting to come out. Firm the fairways, roll the greens (make them 11s) and this course will be spectacular.
