Mercer Oaks Golf Course -- beautiful but crowded
Review by: Daniel E. Chase This is a beautiful course, but crowded. You have the usual mix of duffers and good but impatient golfers. The "signature hole", #17 can be hard to finish due to hundreds of geese and their droppings on the green. We often assume two putts and move on. However, the course is lovely, through woods and fields, not too difficult for the average golfer. Perhaps the new county course next to this one will relieve the crowding.

Mercer Oaks Golf Course -- Windy and Long But a Fair Test
Review by: Kurt This county course has matured nicely over the last decade and while you may have a 5 hour round on the weekend, it is still an enjoyable track that will test most of the clubs in your bag. The course plays tough but fair and most holes allow you to see the challenge ahead. Very few (if any) blind shots and no trickery. If you play from the back tees, bring your canon, you'll need it. A cut above the average municipal course, well worth the cost even at non-resident rates.
