Legacy Ridge Golf Course at Westminster -- Heck of a Public Course
Review by: Jeffrey Martin
I decided to write this review because I saw no one else had wrote a review for this course and indeed I believe their should be one. I have played this course a couple of times and I am glad that it is a public course, because I cant think of any other public courses within or around the Denver metro area that are this enjoyable to play. First of all, the course is spread out. You don't have to worry about hitting your ball onto another fairway or having someone hitting their ball at you. At least you should not have to worry about those things. Secondly, from my experience the course was never too crowded. I hate those public courses where people are walking all over the place. Third, I appreciate the fact that the course is quiet. It is not surrounded by the busy streets with hill-billies honking at you as you swing. As a golfer, I love the fact of being out on a golf course with only my thoughts rummaging through my brain. I believe it is a great stress reliever and a very reflective couple of hours away from the materialistically-media frenzied everything. For a public course, this one delivers. The price ain't so bad either. |

Eaton Country Club -- Eaton CC
Review by: Loveland Golfer
Eaton CC is not a difficult course, but it is lots of fun to play. The farmland setting is extremely peaceful and the view of the front range is beautiful. The best and most challenging part of the course is (are?) the wonderful greens - huge, smooth, and contoured. If they're cut down, do everything in your power to stay below the hole!!
Although a private club, Eaton hosts several open tournaments a year and Rick Cole and his staff are most welcoming.
All-in-all, a great place to play!
