Anchor Golf Land

Featured Golf Course Review:
Anchor Golf Land -- Not bad, for what it is...
Review by: Mills Mead Anchor Golf Land is an 18-hole par-3 with an attached driving range, minature golf course, and a special practice area for lessons. There is also a well-equipped golf shop and snack area. If you are looking for a serious golf... this is not the place. If you are looking for a place to exercise, practice a few shots, or have fun with beginners... this place is great! it's conveniently located, priced right, and the people are friendly. The course is kept in reasonably good condition -- considering the low "greens fees" -- but there is a wildlife problem with goose droppings and woodchucks.

Knob Hill Golf Course -- One of the better ones around
Review by: GolfWhack Nicely maintained, well conditioned course. A little short from the whites, and perhaps a little long from the championship tees for the average golfer. Water comes into play on many holes, as does out of bounds. Greens are medium sized and fairly flat, but several have devilish breaks. Holes seven and eight can make or break your round, and when playing into the wind, the eighteenth is as tough a finishing hole as there is in the area. There has been talk about going private for several years, but it appears as if it will happen sometime in 2004, so if you have the opportunity to play, do it soon!!
