Review by: John McAffey	Played the course in Aug. 2003. Nice course and club house. But the course is too short. Strong players will over power the course. Most par 4's are driver/3 wood and then wedge in. Par four 4th hole is a driveable par four. A bogey on that hole should leave a bad taste in one's mouth. The next hole, a short par three, is not too exciting despite a sloped green. The pro shop is well stocked and the pro is very friendly. Nice course to play but members may get bored after a year or two.

Stanton Ridge Golf & Country Club -- *America's Guest*
Review by: Joe	Make your score on the front because starting with 10, it gets very tough. Great variety of holes and always in spectacular condition, SRG&CC should be recognized as one of the best in the state. Notable holes are #6, an extremely challenging sloping par 5 with water in play all along, #7 a beautiful 185 yd par 3, #10 a 440 yd par 4, #11 a tree-lined beauty, #17 a nearly blind par 3 of 180+ yds, and #18 a fantastic uphill finishing par 4. Tight white staked OB all over the place....scoring here is tough.

I've played this course a couple of times while visitting and enjoyed it both. The price was great for the quality and difficulty and the staff very friendly. I'm a 18 handi-capper and it fit my game well, challenging, but fair.

Hastings Country Club
"Golf in the city"
This course is very demanding with very small greens and very slopped fairways. The toughest hole on the course could be #8 a 400 yard par 4 that plays about 450 straight uphill with a blind view of the green. The other hard hole is #16 Its a dogleg dead-left you only see about 230 yards of the fairway straight ahead but theres a huge tree line along the left and some along the right. You need to carry the ball about 250 over tall thick trees and let your ball run down into the fairway. After that u have a uphill blind green shot from about 175-225 yard shot with a slopped front to back green. This course is a very beautiful course that looks over Hastings and with its new club house its a wonderful course.
