Land-O-Lakes Golf Club -- *Worth The Drive*
Review by: Gordon Buswell	This course is 51 miles from Cherry Grove, North Myrtle Beach. After a nice drive through the country side you arrive in Whiteville, NC. The course is easy to find and the staff is very friendly. The course is hilly and well layed out. The signature hole is #18 a par three over water. Take the time to play this course you will not be disappointed.

Whiteville Country Club -- *Sweet Deal*
Review by: Gordon Buswell	This nine hole golf course is easy to find and the staff is very friendly. At 6330 yards long accuracy is a must. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday is only $15 with cart. We played 36 holes for $30 and that's a sweet deal. Well worth it.

Whispering Pines Golf Club
"Childhood Hole in One"
I got my hole-one-on the par-3 7th. Its the kind of hole that it could happen any day to any of us. And hey, thats gotta be worth something!!! The green is two tiered and the top tier is hard to stay on, the ball likes to role down to the bottom, always where the pin is. You tee off from above, the hole is about 120 yrds I think. So, get it on the green, watch it role and you've got yourself a chance my friend! Overall, the course is a 9 holer and its fun. Golf period...is fun, come on right.

Throckmorton Country Club
"The Best Little Course in West Texas!"
This 9 hole course is the hardest little course I have ever played! If you think the Links is hard wait until you play this bad boy! The hardest hole would probably be #7. This par 5 may look easy when you step up on these elevated tee boxes but just wait until you tee off. Thats when the adventure begins. The second hardest would the #5. This par 4 dogleg right is probably the hardest par 4 on the course. Of course there are a few easy holes thrown in just so you don't lose your confidence. So if you are ever traveling through Throckmorton; be sure and stop to play "The Best Little Course in West Texas!"

"Nice course but difficult to get on........"
This is a great course, provided you can get on it. Always packed, best course in the area by far....I played here once and I am a resident, that shows you how hard it is to get a tee time here, used to be they only wanted non-residents because they pay more to play, (residents get a great discounted rate)...bad management idea there, of course residents complained and alot has changed....if you get the chance to play here by all means do it...you wont regret it...
