WCC has just been completely reworked (2003). The fairways are new zoysia, the bunkers are all new, and there is new landscaping to improve drainage. The greens are fast and slope dramatically. The course is compact and very walker friendly. A great challenge every day. The professional staff is just that - very professional and very courteous and they operate a nationally recognized golf shop. If you are invited to play, don't miss the opportunity. |

Good course, nice layout, good green. If teeing off after 5pm from May to Septeber be prepared for bugs. (mosiquotoes and more). You're close to the river. Well laid out course. I'd never played it before and have only golfed 2x in last 5 years but shot a 90 today. Fun times. |

Formerly Wichita Country Club that was sold to the city of Wichita.
Pros: Good test of golf, huge oak trees, lots of water, cheap green fee ($16), and well maintained.
Cons: no driving range, typical city employee staff, rough neighborhood on 3 sides (they have had muggings on some of the outer holes), 55,000 rounds = good luck getting on at a decent hour. |
