Country Club of Wilbraham

Featured Golf Course Review:
Country Club of Wilbraham -- Country Club of Wilbraham now has 18 holes.
Review by: John The information on this web page about the Country Club of Wilbraham is out of date. Two years ago an additional 9 holes were added, and a new club house was constructed. The new holes are carved out of a pine forest, so many of the fairways are nice and narrow. The new greens are very good - much more well drained than the older front nine, so you really have to work to hold them on your approach shots.

Orchards, The -- Donald Ross does it again!!!!
Review by: Chris Great views, a beautiful design and in great shape. As on any Donald Ross design, do not miss long or to the short side. The course fits in with the land naturally, as though Mother Nature meant the course to be there. Greens are quick and smooth with good contouring. You will need to hit the fairways off the tee to have any chance of shooting a good score. The rough and the fescue will cause problems for those who stray from the fairway. From the first tee shot to the final putt you will need to focus solely on the shot at hand or else a big score could be in your immediate future. All of the holes are great, but the 18th is probably the toughest. This hole plays 445 yards, slightly uphill with a stream down the right and fescue to the left, to a small two-tiered green. Bring your entire repertoire when you play here, its a very solid gold course from start to finish. A must play!!
