| Country Club of Wilbraham -- Country Club of Wilbraham now has 18 holes. |
| Review by: John |
The information on this web page about the Country Club of Wilbraham is out of date. Two years ago an additional 9 holes were added, and a new club house was constructed.
The new holes are carved out of a pine forest, so many of the fairways are nice and narrow. The new greens are very good - much more well drained than the older front nine, so you really have to work to hold them on your approach shots. |

| Heather Hill Country Club - Middle/South Course -- A friendly, challenging bargain |
| Review by: Paul A. |
I've played this public course many times & have never failed to have a good time. The north 9 is more wide open and a bit longer than the middle-south 18, but the addition of fairway irrigation has made the entire layout more pleasent year-round. The tight fairways of the middle-south 18 means that shaping your tee shots can lead to better approach shots. Grade changes, dog-legs and the occational bunker or water hazard yields sufficient challanges to make up for lack of length. Be aware that the $30 weekend fee is cash only. No credit cards, is a small sacrifice considering the bargain price, decent conditions and friendly staff. |
