Meadowgreens Golf Course -- 2 stars in the late summer
Review by: Jack The course is fun to play from May to mid-August. In the Spring the poor drainage makes it very soggy. As summer moves on the greens take a beating, dry out and become patched and cut. The course does not get a lot of mainteance. However, when it is mowed and firm it is fun to play and reasonably challenging. Play is fairly slow due to the fact that the course attracts a lot of new players due to the low price and the very relaxed atmosphere. If you play the back tee positions on #2, 3, 5, 6, 7 and 9 the course is challenging enough to make it interesting. It is not a long course but the greens are pretty small and you spend much of your time hiting up to the greens. Thus, it plays longer than it looks.

Golfable Golf Quote of the Day:
" Men who would face torture without a word become blasphemous at the short fourteenth. It is clear that the game of golf may well be included in that category of intolerable provocations which may legally excuse or mitigate behaviour not otherwise excusable. -- A.P. Herbert, Misleading Cases, 1935 "
