Wintergreen Resort - Devils Knob Course -- Review of Wintergreen Resort
Review by: Linda I make room in my schedule to go to Wintergreen to play Devil's Knob every year. The scenery is breathtaking. There is nothing like hitting your tee shot from high up on the mountain tee boxes and watching it sail gracefully down to the fairway. The course is very challenging. Course management is a must. Of course, getting up in the A.M. and watching the sun come up from your balcony is another plus.

Somerset Golf Club -- A Good Value
Review by: George Webb This is a course that is really trying to do best by their customers. The personnel are friendly, the clubhouse has a very good basic restaurant and there is a definite attempt to keep the course in decent shape. Wet weather seems to make the tee boxes bare and washes out the sandtraps, but recently these have been repaired. The placement of some of the hazzards make a few carrys tough for shorter hitters and some handicapped players may find it difficult to manage the hummocks getting to and from a few of the fairways when the cart path only rule is in effect. However, recent redesign has made the 18th hole more reasonable to play. It is a fun layout and a definite bargain when compared to some of the high end daily fee courses in the general area.
