Three Pines Country Club

Featured Golf Course Review:
Three Pines Country Club -- diamond in the rough
Review by: Antonio Hartwell The best-kept secret in SC. Three Pines combines beauty and playability as well as quality and affordability. The course is fun; the people are friendly. The whole experience is unforgettable. But you must be with a member to play . . . . so thank your lucky stars if you can get on this gem.

Southern Oaks Golf Course -- Can I give it 7 stars?
Review by: Ken Absolutely the nicest staff you will find. I've played 12-15 times and every time I've been there I've been treated like royalty, from the pro shop to the snack bar and the starter and ranger. The course offers short but challenging holes and some that require all you got in the bag. Two of the par 3's must carry over water, while another one has a drop of 50-70 feet in elevation and the other one is from an elevated tee to an elevated green. One Par five is almost 600 yards, two can be reached if played down-wind by the big guns, and the 18th starts off across water and finishes up with a two tiered green at the top of the hill. Your second shots into the par fours range from a PW approach to long irons. The driver is not always the club of choice off the tee either. Some holes require more emphasis on the landing area than the distance (#1 for instance - left is OB and going right adds distance to your second shot).

If I lived closer, I'd be filling out a membership application today!
