Review by: John Moncrief	This course has undergone some excellent changes in the last few years. Hole 4 is a signature hole that will eat your lunch. Its long and its beautiful. The homes around the course are very well maintained and so is the course.

Westbury Country Club -- *Layout nice, conditions not*
Review by: Ray	This would be a fantastic golf course if the ownership had any clue about maintaining it. The layout is very challenging. It has some long Par 4 and 5 holes on front. Greens are firm but terribly inconsistent. Bunkers need fixing. Trees need some trimming. The fairways need to be plugged, raked, fertilized, and watered.

Grandy Nine Golf Club
"Frequent Grandy 9 Golfer"
This is a 'cute' family-owned-type feel of a golf course. I've been here many, many times with my family because it's off the beaten path and used to be fairly quiet. My parents still golf there quite a bit. Probably a fairly easy for the professional, but very nice for the beginner or one looking for an easier challenge. Not a lot of fluff anywhere in the club-house or course, but that adds to it's quaintness.

Eagle Hills Golf Course
"Eagle hills, narrow but nice"
Like Shadow valley the front 9 is more interesting than the back 9, I guess that is to entice those 9 hole golfers. The driving range is small and over water. I particularly like the dog leg second hole, the dog leg is at the beginning and there is a huge valley in the middle of the hole, so placement and the ability to shape the shot make a huge difference there. The TV hole (see the other review) is one of those over the water to the smallish green hole. I use a longer club than normal on that one. It plays longer than the yard markers. Maybe thats just the water talking to me. Small clubhouse. Its a good change from other golf courses, but I find I get bored of it towards the middle of the year.

Parris Island Golf Course
"PI Regular"
I may be biased as The Legends Course at Parris Island is also my home course but it ranks among the best values in northern Beaufort county. Fairways and greens are kept in great shape year round, overseeded in November and consistently mowed. The course is located on a Marine Corps training base and civilians will need both a tee time (call the pro shop) and a pass, available at the main gate. Be sure to have a photo ID, car registration and proof of auto insurance. Tee times are readily available, even on weekends.
