Majors Golf Club, The "Very, Very Nice" Played here about 8 times over 3 visits...keeps getting better and better. The greens are fantastic, and the course lays out well. A very fun track that never gets boring. ---George M, NYC
Broken Spoke Country Club "Ernie Montano" For a fast round of 9-holes this course is very enjoyable, and actually quite challenging. The greens are all in good condition throught the year, and so are the fairways. Par 3's range from 90-yards to 205-yards, and the par 4s are long enough where you can hit driver and/or 3-wood. Wonderful practice putting green surrounding water and driving range is also nice.
For the price and convenience of walking on without a long wait, it's a winner in my book. ---Ernie Montano, La Habra, California
Club at Eaglebrooke, The "A fun course" A local Lakeland course that lives up to it's advertisements! A little long from the middle tees for the average golfer but there is not a bad hole on the course. Lots of water and position golf is more important than the "grip it and rip it " mentality! I'd hope to get to play there again. It's worth the trip. ---Al Scalfari, Tampa, Fl
Nisqually Valley Golf Course "A good winter course" This is a good course for golfers who can have fun without elaborate amenities. Practice facilites are minimal as is the proshop. The main assets are: golf value per dollar (great senior rates), minimal paved golf car paths so a ball is seldom scuffed and ricocheted to bad places, playability through the winter as the drainage is good because only minimal grading was done during construction.
Walking is easy as there are only three areas that rise 20 or thirty feet. There are some nice oak tree framed views of Mt. Rainier.
On approximately 90 acres this is, consequently, a very compact course with fairways side by side, so be alert to the call of "fore" and protect yourself. You should not hesitate to yell when you strike one out of your fairway.
