If you love golf, then the best vacation in the world for you is probably going to be a golfing adventure somewhere at a great U.S. or foreign golf resort location. There are many of these types of golf vacations and also many hotels that are offering special golf vacation packages. These are usually cheaper [...]

Golf is a sport which is becoming increasingly popular. However golf, while it is a sport that is accessible to practically anyone within distance of a driving range or course, still has some particulars as to what is appropriate attire when out on the grass with your clubs. For the most part, when one thinks [...]

Riverside Country Club "Nice Course tough lies" When you play this course be prepared to have a hilly lie on most fairway shots, especially on the back nine. The undulation is remarkable and this course gives an average player a run for his/her money. Mid summer the greens can be unforgiving, but still playable with corect club selection. Altogether a course well manicured and the added bonus of having a complete opposite feeling when playing the front nine and the second nine. ---Craig, Battle Creek, Michigan
Odyssey Golf Course "Odyssey is a good course" I REALLY like this course. It is pretty long (which suits my game well), and there are a lot of places you can get yourself in trouble. The greens are tough to speak of...as pin placement can make this course one of the most challenging in the area (pretty serious breaks), or just a nice Sunday afternoon hackin' with the boys (dead-flat) if greenskeepers are being generous. They have GPS in their golf carts, and charge reasonable fees. The course is very-well maintained, with water in play on a bunch of the holes. In my opinion, Odyssey is the best bang for your buck in the area. ---xxxx, Mokena, IL
River Oaks Golf Course "Great little par 3 course" This is a fantastic par 3 course for the money. The top nine is all par 3 with a great chance to work on the irons and putts. Water is present but not a threat for a straight drive. The bottom starts with an awesome par 4 that tees off from the hill behind the clubhouse. Reachable with a driver and accuracy. More water on the bottom nine that could cause some lost balls if you are not on your game. Greens are more than fair. Not to fast but depending on weather can be faster than they look. No sand around the holes and hopefully that will change in the future. I use this course frequently for training as well as a quick round of golf without the hassel of a larger course.
The driving range is very well kept and the price for a bucket is the cheapest in town that I know of. The practice green is fantastic and allows for many different approaches to a hole to be practiced.
The pro shop stocks many items including a complete PING fitting area. Refeshments, including soft drinks, food, and beer are avaialable at a cost designed to leave you money to come back and play another day.
This course is a proud sponser of youth golf as well as senior golf. Very family oriented.
