Pine Valley Golf Club - Pine Valley Course "Great course" U.S. Open material. Greatest golf course in the world. Every golfer should play here. ---Dennis Bardenett, Philadelphia, PA
Fifty Fore Golf Bar & Grill "what can you ask for in fifty lakes" this course is not well managed, greens are often brown and the grass is dead. the position next to the forest gives dear flies opportunities to feast, and the carts are mediocre at best. ---disappointed, minneapolis
Newnan Country Club "Great Golf" Per the description for Newnan Country Club, the front nine can be more difficult than the back. However, if playing from the tournament tees or Blacks, you will play every club in the bag. Only one of the Par 5 will offer a go at the green. Number 14 measures 620 from the tournament tees. Each hole design offers unique shot/play risk & rewards. Greens are always in great shape and several improvements have been made to improve course condition. A real pleasure to play once or everyday. ---G.W. Honeycutt, Newnan, GA
Sleepy Hollow Golf & Country Club "Laid Back Golf" Sleepy Hollow is a very good layout that suffers mainly from a lack of year round irrigation. The tees suck but the greens and fairways are usually in good shape. This is no frills golfing at its best.
No tee times required. Just show up and play. There is no clubhouse to speak of, the carts don't always work, and you will encounter 5-somes and 6-somes (but don't worry; they play faster than most 4-somes).
Why play there? Because the layout is demanding, you can meet some really interesting people, and it is cheap. All the golf you can play for around $20 if you walk, but you better be in pretty good shape if you plan on walking.
Don't bother going if you are looking for a country club experience. This is a club that is out in the country and has that laid back attitude to go with it. ---Anonymous, Frederick, MD
