Golf is a sport which is becoming increasingly popular. However golf, while it is a sport that is accessible to practically anyone within distance of a driving range or course, still has some particulars as to what is appropriate attire when out on the grass with your clubs. For the most part, when one thinks [...]

Glen Garden Golf & Country Club "History" Glen Garden is a great place for Golfers of all ages. Playing on the course, it is easy to see how it produced such greats as Hogan and Nelson. They have the classic postage stamp greens. You must be accurate with your approach shot or you will miss the green. It is a great course for beginners as there are relatively few holes where a bad shot will lose your ball. The pace of play is very relaxed and the course staff are over the top friendly.
The only down side to Glen Garden is that when it was built it was out in the country (1912?). In the 1950's Fort Worth grew and houses went up all around the course. Unfortunately these houses we small wooden houses and over the years it has become the bad side of town. There have been huge efforts by the local population over the last ten years to clean things up but it will take time.
I highly recommend a visit to Glen Garden for any golfer. If you have an interest in history you will find it fantastic to consider you are walking on holy grounds. ---Rob, Fort Worth, Texas

Sleepy Hollow Country Club - Eighteen Hole Course "High Quality Private Club" As a Brit abroad, I was lucky enough to receive a couple of invitations to play here. The whole experience was outstanding, from the service at the club to the course itself. The clubhouse is one of the more impressive around (probably only improved upon by my home course in the UK!). The track itself was in excellent condition and, as with other Tillinghast courses, was a good strategic challenge, although not as 'man-sized' as say Winged Foot West and Bethpage Black. More playable for someone of my ability and therefore perhaps as enjoyable. ---ChasM, London, UK
Riomar Country Club "Beautiful course, fantastic holes" Riomar presents the rarest of courses, one secluded and private enough to enjoy yourself comfortably while at the same time enjoying the fantastic views and golf that the course affords. Everyone will love the Ocean side with the brisk wind and the great panorama. One of my favorite courses. ---Albert Brown, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, USA
