The front and back nines offer strikingly different looks. A handful of holes on the front nine are carved out of an existing gravel pit, with the back nine featuring a links-style expanse. The greens are large and undulating. There is no signature hole. The back nine is considered by most as the "signature area." A dismal round on the front nine can easily be erased on the second half. Featured on the back half are a pair of par 5's and a short par 4 over water. The 5,735-yard men's tee also has a ladies' course rating of 72.3 and slope of 123.

Great course overall. Nice sized greens in great condition; fairways well maintained; and very well priced. Relatively short course compared to others but tons of fun and you will not be disappointed.

A very nice course! I haven't played many course's, but this is my favorite. It's a nice looking course, flows nicely, and it's different (woods to link style), plus it's in my home town. The rates are reasonable, but they (non-resident)may need to be lowered a bit to get people through the gates. For a course this nice, it should have a functioning club house (i.e., bar, resturant, function hall, etc.), get Titleist as sponsor.

A tremendous couse in a beautiful mountain setting, especially in September and October when in full fall foliage, the afternoon temperatures in the low 70's and the skies so blue the horizon lines become razor sharp. The back nine challange you with mountain streams, blind doglegs, an occasional buck jumping from a creek bed and or lofty tee boxes daring you to choose a loftier iron for dropping it between the aspens and the traps.... Not too many courses in the world offer better views, thinner air for longer drives, or nicer people to pamper your needs. July through mid October is prime... take plenty of time and the closest of friends, I guarantee you a memorable experiance and a challanging round!

There is nothing better to do on a warm summer evening than playing a few holes down on the POYCC golf course. The course is always kept in the best condition with improvements always being made where ever possible. The course is easy enough for the casual golfer, but has a variety of challenges that make it fun and competive. The best aspect of the course is the great atmosphere and senic views of classic New England in Long Island Sound. After playing with friends, returning to the club house is a great experience. The course is always alive and no matter what the circumstances it is always a good game of golf.

This course has a high number of large oak trees and beautiful wildlife habitat. The rolling hills are a classic terrian. I do not like the moguls on contrived new courses, so I may be a little biased. This layout is fun to play.
