This is a wonderful course to play. The terrain is predominantly flat, but there is some mounding which might cause an uneven lie. Most of the fairways on the front nine were much wider than those on the back nine. This is a long hitters dream course. The fairways are tree lined, so as long as you avoid them you should have no trouble scoring well. However, on the back nine, the course more than makes up for the relative ease of playing the front nine. By placing fairway bunkers and ponds in strategic locations, golfers are forced to either fade or draw the ball from off the tee. The wonderfully kept greens are medium-sized and fast. The course is very enjoyable to play, but can be challenging because the locals say that this is the best course in the area.

| I must say that the Valley is definitley easier than the Ridge, but easier is relative. If you get an oppurtunity in golfing either of the two courses at Egypt Valley Country Club, I would'nt worry about what you score, just enjoy one of the best courses there are in western michigan if not maybe the country !!!! you will be challenged. long ball hitters.... does'nt help too much.. Accuracy is the key !!!!!! know your irons and trust your putter. Oh ya... The staff I say is very nice and incredibly professional. Way to go, 5 Stars as well Last but not least... to have golf courses as nice as this and to be able to become a member for the price they offer. that should get the 5 star+++ award |
