This course plays fast and is an easy place to get a tee time. The fairways are narrow, and the greens are small. This is a great course for playing skins, even though it is an executive course. The fairways are hilly and loaded with well-placed bunkers. Each green may have grass bunkers, mounds, or sand bunkers guarding them. Some of the greens are elevated. Junior and senior weekday discounts are available.

North Shore Country Club
"Great Bay Side Holes, and Tough"
Play this in the wind and you'll find your handicap is a little too low. Northshore is a wonderful course with great bay views on the 4 bayside holes. And Don't miss the gator on hole 12, the cormorants on number 3, or all the other birds during the migratory months. In winter the rye overseed makes Northshore one of the best courses in all of South Texas.

"What a golf course should be."
I have played this private course 5-6 times since 1992 and have enjoyed it every time. Recently I played as a guest in a small tournament and the course was in excellent condition. There are 8 other courses in this retirement community, several owned and managed by large course management groups, but they are not in the same class as this one as far as quality is concerned. There are few if any divots on the greens, all players seem to be very conscious of divot repair on the entire course, including the rough, facilities are clean and fresh, clubhouse is pleasant and modern and the staff is great. I have just joined and am thrilled to death with a life-time membership to look forward to!
