This club has three regulation eighteen hole courses. The South Course, which is a traditional design, annually hosts the PGA Tour's NEC World Series of Golf. "Golf Digest" rated this as the 11th "Best in State" course for 1995-96, and 12th best for 1997-98. In addition, "GOLF Magazine" ranked it 56th among the "Top 100 Courses in the U.S." for 1995, 63rd in 1997 and 91st in 1999. "GOLFWEEK" awarded it 56th in the category of "America's 100 Best Classical Courses" for 1997, 57th for 1998 and 72nd for 1999. Robert Trent Jones redesigned the South Course in 1959, followed by Jack Nicklaus in 1986. The North Course has several water hazards and large, undulating greens. "Golf Digest" rated this as the 18th "Best in State" course for 1995-96, and 19th best for 1997-98. "GOLFWEEK" awarded the North Course 66th among "America's 100 Best Modern Courses" for 1997. The West Course is tighter and has smaller greens than the other two courses. A separate nine hole public course is listed elsewhere in the directory.

| The North course is a Fantastic golf that I play monthly. Unfortunately, most of you reading this review will never get the chance to play this golf course. It is one of the most exclusive golf clubs in the country. Unless you know somebody like me you will step foot on the course. You can see it as you drive by or you can play the public course that borders it (I hope they put a wall up) bit most people reading this will just never play the course. So the beat way to put it is to say Firestone is a golfing Mecca for the true golfer and I love every moment that I am blessed to be there. |
