This club has recently rebuilt all its greens. The level fairways are tree lined, and water hazards come into play on six holes. Every hole has a dogleg fairway. The redesign was completed by John LaFoy in 1992.

I was invited to a scamble last spring and it was a blast! It isn't the largest course I have been to, but the service was very personal and the greens were great. I would reccomend this course to anyone who wants southern hospitality including complentary range balls (during scamble), free club shine, and endless laughs with old friends. Despite it being a very private and exclusive club it sure is a unique one.

Each hole sets up well no matter if you need to hit the dogleg left or right. BIG trees tha can grab your ball quick if kept out of the fairway. Greens are fast and tough if you are on the wrong side of the hole. Slope of 118 is very low. You will need a half a dozen rounds on this old track before you can score well. I would slope it out at 124-126. Fun to play and you will remember alot of the holes when you are done. Have fun.

Riverside Country Club
"Nice Course tough lies"
When you play this course be prepared to have a hilly lie on most fairway shots, especially on the back nine. The undulation is remarkable and this course gives an average player a run for his/her money. Mid summer the greens can be unforgiving, but still playable with corect club selection. Altogether a course well manicured and the added bonus of having a complete opposite feeling when playing the front nine and the second nine.

"west texas' best course"
A challenge for beginners, yet not so that you cant shoot par. Hole5 is the #1 handicap on the course, a challenging par 4 that will require a 260+ yard drive down the fairway then you might use anwhere from a 5 wood down to a 4 iron and get it on the green and putt for birdie, that would be the best why to play it my opinion. If you play here the greens are fast and the rough is medium, there alot of trees onthe front 9 but nothing a intermidate to a master golfer couldnt handle. So if your an ameture this the best course to play in west texas.

Don't usually take the time to do this sort of thing,(leave comments), -BUT, this club is really nice! I can't believe there isn't a crowd waitin to get thru the gate! - VERY PLEASANT COURSE! And REASONABLE FEES! I'll tell my friends back here they need to come to Hauppauge! - VERY NICE TIME! Try it, folks!

Sharp Park Golf Course
"Great Value ."
Sharp Park is a city owned course. Extremly reasonable rates. Twilight rate in the summer is about $5.00!!! What a value. It's an older course, fairly flat, easily walked, although carts are available. Several years ago the course was redesigned. Several holes were lengthened, a beautiful pond was added. It only comes into play on one hole and only on the mens tees. Due to the reasonable rates, the course has players of all skill levels.
