New Course at Albany, The65 O'Neil Rd Albany, NY 12208 Phone: (518)489-3526Fax: (518)489-3526
This difficult course is hilly and extremely well maintained. The fast greens are well bunkered and large, and the fairways are tree lined. The course was redesigned in 1993 to bring back the original Albany Municipal Golf Course design, which this course opened as in 1929. The other discount offered is a twilight rate available only on weekdays.

Will never play the New Course at Albany, Aug 08, 2007

| We were thinking of driving into Albany to play the New Course; however, after reading the reviews, we have decided never to play the New Course at Albany. We are former residents of Albany and used to play when it was Albany Municipal. People were friendly then. As we understand it - this is no longer the case. As one individual stated, there are so many other golf courses to play. Also, the rates are much too high for non-residents. |

Overpriced, Jan 13, 2005

| The course is an OK course but it is so overpriced. I went a couple of times. Last time I went they were making improvents and had sign in club house about light improvements. It ended up being heavy construction on which of 3 of the holes were basically unplayable, unless of course you want to hit construction workers with your ball. Worse of it was they still charged full price that day. So that is the last time I play that course. There are many other good courses in the area that I can pay less to play. |
