This links-style course has no trees. The fairways have some mounding, and lakes come into play on several holes. Hole #15, a 678-yard, par 5, was the second longest hole in the U.S. when it was originally built. The greens are challenging with plenty of undulation. The course was rated in the top five public courses in Illinois by the "Chicago Golf Guide." The course offers discounts for seniors and juniors after 3 PM, Monday through Thursday. Weekend green fees are in effect Friday through Sunday.

Golf Club of Illinois, Apr 07, 2004
reviewer: Cliff from Arlington Heights
I played it around September of 03. It had pretty large fairways with no trees which made it easy, but the greens were very very fast and hard to stop the ball from 150+ yards. I'm not sure how great of a value it is because I played for free since it was a high school golf meet. It had a huge par 5 which was fun. I would play this course again but it would not be my first choice.
