There is a variety of terrain to experience on this tight, fast course. The fast greens are in exquisite condition. There is water and trees that come into play. The course's signature hole is #7, a 445-yard, par 4, featuring a well-protected green. William and David Gordon redesigned the course in 1955, and Ron Forse redesigned three holes in 1989. The 5,620-yard men's tee also has a ladies' course rating of 72.6 and slope of 125.

The design of this course, hilly terain and fast greens, is the perfect course in the Pittsburgh area to test a true golfer's talent. The beatiful landscapes of this course make it comfortable, relaxing, and fun to play. With costs for non-members reaching approximately $70, it is not cheap. But this only compliments the excitement and prestige that comes with playing at Wildwood Golf Club in Allison Park, Pennsylvania.

The course is OK. I've played it about 10 times and they need to get the front 9 in. If they got the front 9 in I think it would me a lot more fun.

Delaware Park Course
"Delaware 2003 review"
Delaware Park is a great place to learn to play golf because it offers open fairways, well maintained greens, no sand or water. There is hardly ever a bag line. There are 18 holes on relatively flat land. The trees present the only problems as many are in the fairways. The course conditions have shown vast improvement recently , especially in 2003 when new tee boxes were planted and benches were placed at each hole. It compares favorably, I think to the 2 other city courses, Cazenovia and South Park. Those courses offer just 9 holes each. The park setting is beautiful. If you want to practice without being intimidated, this is the place.
