This traditional course is wide open, but very undulating. The tee boxes are elevated, and the fairways are average width. There is water that comes into play on three holes. The small greens are elevated and very fast. The signature hole is #8, 313-yard, par 4, requiring a shot over water to the green. Frank Duane redesigned three holes of the original holes in 1974. The pro shop opens at 6:30 AM on the weekends. There are additional sets of tees that can be used when playing an eighteen hole round.

Year 2000 huge transformation. Links style new nine added. Course is a wonderful little treasure a couple of blocks from the ocean.

Giles Country Club
"Nice course for budget"
I think the golf course is in outstanding shape. The grass is green,pretty good for this time of year! The superintendant is a nice guy. His employee is a nice guy. They get the job done! The employees at the clubhouse are hardworkers too. The only backfall I see is, they need more members. Somebody told me they have lossed alot of members. Hopefully they will try to recruit some members this year. If anybody reads this come on over to the country club its an outstanding place to golf,associate, play cards,and have a good time with friends and family. And need to open the ballroom for some events, make a little cash! Everbody is easy to get along with. Giles Country Club does pretty good for the budget they have.

Whidbey Golf & Country Club
"Great Secret"
Who would think that such a great course would be in Whidbey. The course has some challeging holes as well as some scenery. For some of you big hitters it has a couple of holes that tempt you to go for it. I wouldn't if I were you. Looks can be deciving. If they don't get you the slope on the 18th green will. Stick it close. A great secret.
