This course was built on hilly terrain, so you can expect some uneven lies. The newly developed back nine, designed by David Esler, opened for play on July 4, 1996. Water hazards and numerous sand bunkers come into play throughout the course. There are a few dogleg fairways, and all the holes are lined with trees. Senior and junior discount rates are only available during the weekdays. Tee times are only reserved for weekends. The green fees shown are for all-day play.

Deceptive Shady Oaks, Mar 03, 2004

The course is well managed, and has few unplayable issues. Sloping fairways, and tree lined holes had to the charm. Although the course plays short, it holds interest through a creative layout, and natural hazards. Overall it is a great course for the tiny fee, and the assistance in the club house is very down to earth. The surrounding area is breath taking as well, which also adds to the experience.

"course quality"
This golf course is sneaky long, but it is made difficult because the greens won't hold a shot longer than a nine iron, the greens are too small and there is very little space on either side of most of the greens to make a chip shot. This course is much poorer than several public layouts and the membership is both expensive and poorly managed.

"Golfing For Par"
This Course is set out to have you playing for par rather than birdie. Tricky bunkers, well placed trees, and water make the Bartow Golf Course frustrating at times. Minor elevation changes enhance play as do friendly people. Give it a try.

Meadows Golf Club
"Challenging for public"
This is one of the best, and most challenging, public courses in the Denver metro area. The only downfall for the Meadows is the pace of play during the weekends. Overall, the Meadows is a must play.

"It is what it is."
This is a no-nonsense par 3 course. Course is flat and wide open. Excellent place to get in a practice round or take kids or beginning golfers to. Low handicappers will not find this course challenging with the exception of a few water hazards. Fees are $15 monday through thursday.
