This course is a great test from the blues., Nov 01, 2004

When I moved to Utah in the early 80's, this course was a bit of a cow pasture--all dried and burnt up. But, it's received some great care in the last decade. This course is nasty long, nasty tight, and the greens are wierd. You'll hit every club in the bag--twice! But, it's a great place to play because the hole styles change a lot even though it's on flat ground. They took out some strategic trees and traps a few years ago, and so now it's a touch easier. But I still rate this as one of the 10 best in Utah for better players.

I have played tri city many times i am a 16 year old kid and its just perfect for my friends and I, its a nice course in pretty good shape and its a good price. It has a little bit of everything, water, bunkers, narrow/wide fairways, and the greens are well kept. Its a fun golf course and everyone that works there is super nice, the driving range is also awesome. I plan on playing there more, and I would recommend it to others!

Luck Golf Course
"Luck Golf Course in Luck, Wisconsin"
The Luck Golf Course is a well established, beautiful course with bent grass fairways surrounded by large mature oaks. It is one of the best courses in the area. The course is challaging yet very rewarding for all levels of golfers. Located in the Village of Luck next to beautiful Butternut Lake, it is "in town" but off on its own in a lovely park like setting. Don't be surprised to see deer running accross the fairway during an approach shot. I found it to be the best around, one that you will love to come back to time after time.

Rancho San Joaquin Golf Course
"This course helped my game!"
With it's many doglegs and elevation changes, this course will quickly teach the beginners how to setup their approaches, while giving the lower handicap players a reasonably challenging round. 5 of the first nine pins cannot be seen from the tees. If you spray your tee shots, you will surely be struggling to make par. The par threes are deceiving with two short downhills, and two 150-ish up hills. These have been my achilles heel. There are not to many water hazzards, but they are well/poorly place depending on your tendancies. They can easily swallow your ball if your not carefull. The traps are typically limited to wrapping the greens, but watch out for the 5th hole, with its deceiving horizontal sand at 230 yards out. The grounds are well kept with mid speed greens that exactly match the practice green. Prepare for an even mix of wide and narrow fairways, and many misleading doglegs, both slight and sharp. This course has made me a better golfer, and I can't say that about many. Enjoy!

Briar Creek Golf Course
"Enjoy Golf Again or The Way Golf Used To Be"
Briar Creek Golf Course is a fun course to be played by both medium and high handicap golfers. Its layout is a chalenging mix of 18 holes fit in a flat land leading up to the creek with hillside on the other side of the creek. Several ponds and sandtraps provide hazards to avoid while the greens are usually the best in the area. The drawback is its distance at only 5300+ yards and so low handicap golfers should play it but only to enjoy the chance at chasing a par round of 70. The true delight of this courses is its playability and round playing time of around 4hrs. There is no long slow play at Briar Creek due to its layout. The three finishing holes on the front nine include an par 3 island green, a drivable par 4 with trouble to the right and "catcher's mitt" sandtrap to the left and a par 3 number nine. These three can yield 3 birdies or a bogey or two. The back nine has a similar opportunity for success or failure with a short par 5 number 15 which with a good second shot has you shooting for eagle or a bad second shot gets sucked into the creek and you are fighting for bogey or worse. Number 16 is an uphill par 3 that winds will control alot of your success followed by a downhill par 4 number 17 that I consider the course's signature hole. A tiny green that seems to be drivable but you must carry a pond and a creek so a 5 wood or a mid iron off the tee is best to a landing area between the two water hazards. The final hole number 18 is a dog-legged left par 5 with plenty of yardage and trees. The greatest part about Briar Creek is that its fun to play with great people and well maintained greens. The way golf used to be!!
