Going back for more, Jul 02, 2005

The course can be confusing with crossing fairways. You'll hear the word "fore" too much. The fairways are actually in pretty good condition. It's the greens that are in poor shape and teeing off on dirt (where's the grass?) is just as bad. The price is right though and if you're just out to have fun it's a nice place to play. Two stars - but I'm going back for more! (PS: The people who work there have good attitudes and you'll feel right at home).

Well kept secret. Course is well maintained in a lovely suburban setting. Not long but offers challeges at every hole.Fees are a bargin, just the course to practice and relax.

Nisqually Valley Golf Course
"A good winter course"
This is a good course for golfers who can have fun without elaborate amenities. Practice facilites are minimal as is the proshop. The main assets are: golf value per dollar (great senior rates), minimal paved golf car paths so a ball is seldom scuffed and ricocheted to bad places, playability through the winter as the drainage is good because only minimal grading was done during construction. Walking is easy as there are only three areas that rise 20 or thirty feet. There are some nice oak tree framed views of Mt. Rainier. On approximately 90 acres this is, consequently, a very compact course with fairways side by side, so be alert to the call of "fore" and protect yourself. You should not hesitate to yell when you strike one out of your fairway.
