Grover Cleveland Golf Course

This flat course features several dogleg fairways lined with mature trees. In fact, all the fairways are tree lined, but afford generous landing areas. The greens are large, and water hazards come into play on a few holes. In addition, grass bunkers come into play on a few other holes. Walter Travis redesigned the original layout in 1926. The ladies tee off from the same set of tees as the men. The U.S. Open was held here back in 1917, when this facility was called The Buffalo Country Club.

Bang for your buck best explains it. You can play a great course for probably the lowest price in town. It offers a true golf expierence. Don't pass this one by.

It's not the greatest course. Few long holes. No true doglegs and virtually non-existent water hazards. BUT for $10 you get a clean well manicured course that won't kill you if you carry your bag. Greens offer a nice challenge. I'd play 36 holes here before paying $20 for one round at comparable local courses.

A stoudt course that will challenge your putting skills. Home of the 1912 United States Open, Grover Cleveland still retains an atmosphere dense in history, which takes the golfer back in time to an age that once was. An age where goodness and fair play were par for the course. Nestled within the proud University District of Buffalo, New York, Grover Cleveland offers not only a view of the panoramic metro skyline, but an invitation to serenity in eden.
