Classic Course, Aug 04, 2005

This is a classic course. Its not for whiners and complainers. It requires good course management and accurate shots in to the greens because the greens are so small. These Bermuda greens were in good shape and were fun and easy to read. If you like good old fashion Southern golf courses, then you'll love this one. And you cannot beat the price. Best Course in Anderson.

This course is not the among the best I have played. It is very hilly and causes alot of kicks, some bad and some good. The course if very confusing as to which hole is next. They also don't give a map of the course and there arent layouts on the hole markers to let you know where you are hitting the ball. There also arent visible 150, and 200 yard markers. It was relatively cheap but for the money I would think it would still be nicer. I probably wouldnt recommend this course to many people. If you are in the area, I would recommend another course unless you are a beginner.

Willow Springs Country Club
"Scottish track with many nuances"
I am a member at Willow Springs. Although not the longest of courses, it will teach you all the shots you need to know. The course is always in playable condition and is a challenge for all golfers, I myself being a scratch golfer.

Experience at Koele, The
"Enjoyable golf in one of the world's greatest settings"
The Experience at Koele is a very nice Greg Norman designed layout that will having you often looking at the scenery in lieu of thinking about your next shot. One of two golf coures on the very upscale and exclusive island of Lanai, playing the Experience is a wonderful way to spend part of the day. The staff are very friendly and cater to whatever you need. Guests are there to have a good time and many people from around the globe find their way to Lanai to stay and play. When I played, the course was not quiet mature enough and, when mature, the golf course will be superb. It has been three years since then and I look forward to the next time I get a chance to stay on Lanai and enjoy again this course and/or the Nicklaus course near the ocean. If I only had one resort visit left in me, it would be to the Manele Bay Hotel and the island of Lanai. What more can I say.
