This course is rolling and fairly open with firm, flat greens. Presently, property lines border most of the holes, however, when the planned development is completed, property line out-of-bounds will skirt all of the holes on the course. The signature hole is #8, a 423-yard, par 4, which features an elevated tee and requires a tee shot of no more than 150 yards to prevent the ball from rolling down a steep drop. If the tee shot is overclubbed, a stiff uphill approach shot to the green becomes imminent.

I travel around SC to play as many courses as I can. This is a good course in good shape. I just took 7 buddies with me to play it and they all enjoyed it.

I travel around the state to play as many SC golf courses as I can. This course is one of the better ones. I just took a group of 8 guys to play it and they loved it! Fun layout in great shape!

the lay out of the course is not bad...but, most of the tee boxes are not level..the fairways and rough are both pretty dead, seems to be a lot of dirt spots...and the greens are not cut consistantly even. you may have a 20 foot putt that will roll threw 2 or maybe 3 different lenghts of grass before the ball gets to the hole...i say if you are going to spend your money to play golf head a few extra minutes down the road to cobbs glen (anderson) or the walker course (clemson)

"Best Course in WNY"
Not an overly long course, it rewards accuracy off the tee and penalizes errant strokes. The greens are fast and true, and generally break less than one would imagine. The front nine is deceptive, punishing anyone who strays off the tree-lined fairways. The back nine can be attacked, but the sightlines off the tees can intimidate the first time player. Use long irons from the tee to keep the ball in play(only if they are are a strength in your game), and you will be surprised with the result. Putting is the primary key to scoring on this picturesque layout.

Briar Creek Golf Course
"Enjoy Golf Again or The Way Golf Used To Be"
Briar Creek Golf Course is a fun course to be played by both medium and high handicap golfers. Its layout is a chalenging mix of 18 holes fit in a flat land leading up to the creek with hillside on the other side of the creek. Several ponds and sandtraps provide hazards to avoid while the greens are usually the best in the area. The drawback is its distance at only 5300+ yards and so low handicap golfers should play it but only to enjoy the chance at chasing a par round of 70. The true delight of this courses is its playability and round playing time of around 4hrs. There is no long slow play at Briar Creek due to its layout. The three finishing holes on the front nine include an par 3 island green, a drivable par 4 with trouble to the right and "catcher's mitt" sandtrap to the left and a par 3 number nine. These three can yield 3 birdies or a bogey or two. The back nine has a similar opportunity for success or failure with a short par 5 number 15 which with a good second shot has you shooting for eagle or a bad second shot gets sucked into the creek and you are fighting for bogey or worse. Number 16 is an uphill par 3 that winds will control alot of your success followed by a downhill par 4 number 17 that I consider the course's signature hole. A tiny green that seems to be drivable but you must carry a pond and a creek so a 5 wood or a mid iron off the tee is best to a landing area between the two water hazards. The final hole number 18 is a dog-legged left par 5 with plenty of yardage and trees. The greatest part about Briar Creek is that its fun to play with great people and well maintained greens. The way golf used to be!!

LCC is a beautiful course with low green fees, and I have been a member for the last two years. There are challenging holes on the course and with the high altitude one can reach the greens in two or three shots.

Knollwood Golf Course
"A womans point of preference"
Very challenging course for women. Men are impressed with women who can hit stright drives and consistant fairway shots onto the green. Men have a problem at Knollwood because of their ego gets the better of them.
