This course was built into the natural terrain of the foothills and offers magnificent views. The course is quite interesting with 17,000 square-foot greens, five par 5's, and five par 3's. The signature hole is #6, a 213-yard, par 3, which plays over water to a peninsula green that is located in the middle of a seven-acre lake. The club offers a full service driving range, and a golf academy, which opened in 1997. The 6,213-yard men's tee also has a ladies' course rating of 76.0 and a slope of 133.

Great course for any golfer, Jun 04, 2004

This is by far the best course I have played that encompasses all of the ammentities of golf. The location of this course is great. The natural setting of the course makes it feel likes it been there for 100 years but its still only 7 years old. Course is well maintained,staff there is great. Course is a challenge for any golfer you old good or bad.

TimberStone Golf Course
"Worth the trip"
This course is easily the best course I have played. It's on a par with Blackwolf Run and the other Kohler courses at a fraction of the price. This course has a spectacular setting. It winds up and around Iron Mountain, and is a marvel of course design. Despite the elevation changes, only one hole plays uphill. The holes are cut out of the mountain side and winding cart paths take you to the next level, and hole, until you reach numbers 9 and 17, both of which play straight downhill (as does 18, a 600 yard par five with 3 terraced fairways). The grooming is immaculate and each hole is separated from the others by woods or water. Even on a busy day it feels like you're the only golfers on the course. The staff is friendly and efficient and the course is nicely rangered. As you play the course, you will marvel both at the quality of the experience and the incredible engineering required during construction. Rates have been in the $50-60 range for the past several years and its the best golf bargain you can find. This is a course you could play every day and it would remain interesting. The fairways and greens compare with any PGA site. This is one not to miss.
