This course is partially wooded. The signature hole is #8, a 152-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot over the creek to the green. The greens range in size between 3,200 and 6,700 square feet. The Eau Claire River Junction flows through the course and comes into play on several holes. The green on hole #4 is located on an island in the middle of the Eau Claire River. The 2,718-yard ladies' tee also has a men's course rating of 33.0 and slope of 110.

Very Nice, Mar 07, 2004

I've played this course several times and it has always been in pretty good shape. Other than a little wetness on a few holes the fairways and greens are pretty nice. The nice thing about this course is it is spread out over quite a bit of land and no two holes are the same. It is a nine hole course and is built on just as much land as some small 18 hole courses.

"Outstanding"
This is one of the most beutiful golf courses in the great North West. Every hole has it's challenges such as long narrow fairways, tightly placed pins, and ponds throughout. The plush greens and marvolous clubhouse are just two of many great amenities this course has to offer.

North Park Golf Course
"Great Public Course"
You must take into consideration this is a course run and maintained by County government so it's maintenance is not what it should be. Aside from that it is a great course. It is long, very challenging, fairly wide open and hilly. It's also a very pretty course. You would be hard pressed to find any course in a comparable price range that is this nice with such a beautiful layout. This course gets a lot of play during the week from senior citizens ( they get yearly permits ) but on Friday thru Sunday it is not crowded.

Lakeland Hills Golf Course
"Getting better every day"
Lakeland is a great course for the money. New owners took over is 2002 or so. Hard to remember because we don't play it regularly. They have added new features every year, trees, bridges, new tee boxes, etc.The front nine is fairly open, hard to get into too much trouble. Watch out for some water. We prefer the back nine. It's a little more hilly, still has some water. Nothing to worry about. Lakeland has the best drainage of any course we have ever seen. It is open unless there is snow on the ground. We have played this course in Feb., when a winter thaw and 50 degree days suprized us all. Just played in on Jan 3, 2004 when we has another winter warm spell. Jackson has lots and lots of great courses. No one would ever be disappointed taking a golfing holiday in Jackson, Michigan.

Horseshoe Bend Country Club
"Nice, playable course"
This is a nice playable course. Not overpowering in length, it is a good fit for both long and short hitters. I played in February and the course was in excellent shape considering the time of year. Greens rolled nice and true. Staff was friendly.
