I've enjoyed playing this course for five years. The course has an excellent layout. Fairways, ruff, and greens are well maintained but the Tee boxes need work. The greens are well maintained, thick, consistent, and quick enough (maybe a 9.5) that everyone I know whose played them said they were good. The GPS is pretty dated but adequate. Only problem seems to be it only works on about 75% of the carts. All in all, an excellent value for the money.

This is a majestic golf course. The layout appears nestled in the pines and marshes with little man-made interference. It is a tough test from the tips, yet fair. There are no gimmicky holes as the course is right before you. You just have to execute the shot.

Evergreen Country Club - Private Course
"A course unto yourself."
I have become a big fan of Evergreen's private course. From beginning to end, you feel like your the only person on the course. This course offers secluded fairways and some very challenging holes. While the 14th is the signature hole, the 7th offers a close second. With the big tree in the middle of the fairway before the bend. Making it a difficult hole to play. The course could stand a little over all care, it's still a blast to play.

Throckmorton Country Club
"The Best Little Course in West Texas!"
This 9 hole course is the hardest little course I have ever played! If you think the Links is hard wait until you play this bad boy! The hardest hole would probably be #7. This par 5 may look easy when you step up on these elevated tee boxes but just wait until you tee off. Thats when the adventure begins. The second hardest would the #5. This par 4 dogleg right is probably the hardest par 4 on the course. Of course there are a few easy holes thrown in just so you don't lose your confidence. So if you are ever traveling through Throckmorton; be sure and stop to play "The Best Little Course in West Texas!"
