This course is very picturesque because eight holes were designed alongside the Hudson River and the rest are in the mountains. The greens are very fast and undulating, and the terrain is extremely hilly. This club has been listed by the USGA as one of the first one 100 clubs established in the U.S. "GOLF Magazine" named it to their 1995 list of "The First 100 Clubs in America." William H. Tucker designed the second nine holes in the early 1900's, and Stephen Kay redesigned one hole in 1986.

| This is by all means a test of every shot you have in your bag...Its open on the front and tight on the back..If you're off the fariway by 10 yrs or more you have trees to handle.....The bunkers are beautiful and deadly...Don't let the lenght of the course fool you, this is not a easy day...Flat on the front, hilly on the back....and the green are fast and fast....If you can aford a caddie take one. They have good caddies who know the greens and will help find your ball and suggest yardage.
If you play five over your handicap, you have had a great day.....Third oldest CC in th country. 1895...Water on some par 3 and one par four that comes into play....Nature and just a beautiful place to see. Ardsley awaits your game to see if your up to the challenge of a legendary golf course..and tip your caddie..play well |
