This club hosts the Inventory Guiding Eyes Classic. The terrain is very hilly, so expect many uneven lies. The signature hole is #8, a 226-yard, par 3, featuring a breathtaking waterfall. New bunkers were added throughout the front nine in 1997.

Improving Blend of Golf Experiences, Aug 12, 2005

A very nice course with nine Donald Ross holes well complimented by a second set of nine designed by Charles Banks. Ross and Banks designed holes can be experienced on both the front and back nines. A tremendous Bank's designed hole finishes the front nine, while Ross's strongest contribution, the eighteenth, presents a great finishing hole to any match. A truly wonderful golf experience. A new clubhouse has been a tremendous addition to this great course.

I played Whippoorwill many times and it has only gotten better. It is a great experience for every one. Rivals that of Wingedfoot and Westchester.

Hilltop Country Club
"Neatest course in Texas"
I went and played a round of golf at the Hilltop Country Club last week for the first time. It was an expereince,the course is set up real cool. I was a high school golfer who would have loved to get out of school and walk to go play golf rather than riding 30 minutes on a bus to and from practice everyday. The course is on the grounds of Troup ISD.And after I got finished playing golf I walked to the 19th and had a cold budlight.The bar has what ever you want,and the ladies were so nice.

Ramsey Golf Club
"Good Challenge"
Although Ramsey might not be in the best shape it is still a very challenging course with a tough layout. You can find yourself in trouble of pretty much every hole on the course if you don't hit it straight or know how to shape your ball. Take advantage of the easy start Holes #1 and #2 provide as the rest of the front can be a major challenge. The back 9 can be long but there isn't as much trouble.

"perfect"
butler could quite possibly be the best golf course in all of the midwest. the staff of the club was excellent, the valet was a bit pushy though. the caddies were all excellent. other than that, everything was excellent and if you have a lot of money to blow, i would do it.
