This course was built at an elevation 4,200 feet above sea level, so the ball has a tendency to travel farther. The terrain offers numerous breathtaking views of the countryside. The toughest hole is #10, a 165-yard, par 3, requiring shots over two lakes. In addition, water hazards come into play on several other holes. Carts must stay on the path on the back nine.

| I play with a friend who is a member of the club, so I have no bias. The course is much like playing two different 9-hole courses. The front 9 is relatively flat with plenty of opportunity to use your driver. Fairways vary in width with some water hazards and creek out of bounds to deal with. The back 9 goes up through the tall pines with narrow fairways and plenty of challenges through the hilly terrain, ending with a 400-yard downhill to the 18th hole. The scenery is breathtaking as 200-foot tall pine trees, well maintained fairways and greens, and a blue, blue sky, bound most of the course. You can use every club in your bag and have a wonderful day. |
