This is a very demanding course. The fairways are narrow, and the greens are large. Two water hazards sit between holes #13 and #16 and can steal your ball if you stray on the tee shot. Numerous sand bunkers have been positioned on fourteen holes, making shot accuracy a must if you wish to shoot a low round. Dick Watson also designed the back nine, which was added in 1982. The ladies' par is actually 74. The 5,903-yard men's tees also have a ladies' course rating of 72.0 and a slope of 116.

| Mixed in nearby with Iron Horse and Quarry Oaks, two of the best in Nebraska, Ashland offers a great little course for the average golfer. Big greens and open fairways allow for an above average challenge. Located rurally between Omaha and Lincoln, there is never a problem getting a tee time or experiencing long waits at the tee box. A fine golfing experience for all ages and skill levels! |
