This course's fairways are narrow and its small greens are medium speed. The front nine is narrower than the back nine. Water hazards come into play on several holes. One of the main reasons why this course is thought to be difficult is because it was designed with the average to above average golfer in mind.

Tougher than you think, Oct 18, 2004

I'm a member and am always amused when newcomers show up and see the short yardage the course plays.They think it'll be a push over and immediately go to the back tees. If you spray your shots, you're going to score a big number. The scenery on the course is very nice, especially in the fall. The course has produced a ladies and mens state champion so there must be some merit to knowing where your shots are headed. It is a very enjoyable afternoon of golf in the countryside of Hanover County Virginia. Its surrounded by homes, farms, and the South Anna River.

I have never putted on such undulating greens in my life, this course gave me fits.... I had never played here so I didnt know what I was in for, really tough course if your not familiar with it.... I crushed a drive on one hole, dont rememeber which one but I thought I hit at least a 300yd drive, well I did but it landed in a pond on the other side of a sloping fairway. Never knew the the water was there.... you cant see it from the tee box... (very sneaky). just one of the great holes on this gem....if you want some putting practice, then this your course.... go for it....

Mohawk Park Golf Course - Pecan Valley Course
"Best Public Golf Course in Tulsa"
Mohawk Golf Course is a nice wooded area about .5 miles away from the Tulsa Zoo, Dont worry it doesnt smell and it isnt that noisy. The only distractions are on the 6,7,8th and holes when you can hear monkeys in the distance, its pretty cool when hear them and you're in a wooded area. There's lots of water, greens are in good shape, rough is fine, very creative par three's, and a good experience. Oh yeah, threres plenty of squirrels and swans roaming the course. If you go during the summer and you get a tee time(around 7 a. m.) in the early morning the fog of the creeks and ponds rise and fairways are misty. If you need tee times go to playtulsa.com(make sure you do google search and type playtulsa.com and then something below will pop up saying If the URL is valid, try visiting that web page by clicking on the following link: playtulsa.com.) click on it and you'll go to the web site. If you are not registered go head and do so then choose Mohawk:Pecan Valley, there you can set tee times, no. of players and so on. You can also choose the other courses like South Lakes, located in Jenks. Page Belcher located 1 mile west of Jenks. LaFortune located between 51st and 61st on Yale Ave. in Tulsa Oklahoma, then also both Mohawk Pecan Valley, and Woodbine. Hope this helps you.
