This course provides enough variety of terrain to challenge all skill levels of golfer. There is water that comes into play on a couple of holes, and trees are scattered throughout the course. The course's signature hole is #18, a 351-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot up a dogleg right fairway, then an approach shot over water to the green. There are weekday specials available, which include a cart.

Good and bad, Oct 09, 2007 |

| Nice course, plays short and narrow on the front 9. good price. No starter though and our foursome was pushed all day by singles or groups of 2, many of which we let play through. Personally, I would have rather played another course and spent more money. This has been the case on several occassions. |

I miss this course, Nov 22, 2006 |

| Having moved to the West Coast, I truly miss playing Moccasin Run. It is one of the best conditioned public courses that I've played. The country setting is beautiful and peaceful. The openness of the course makes it friendly to the average golfer. The water and the hills make it challenging to all who play it. Getting over the water and shooting par on the 18th makes for a satisfying round. |

Scary first couple holes, Jun 25, 2006 |

| With the exception of the first three holes that run parallel and present the peril of "incoming" projectiles from other fairways, Moccasin Run is a fun and challenging course... The staff is friendly and willing to help make your experience at the course enjoyable. |

Take it easy on Mocassin Run, Aug 05, 2004 |

| Mocassin Run is the best course in Chester County for the money. The course is always in respectable condition regardless of the season. The greens are not fast, but consistent. Though not the most challenging course, nearly all of the holes force one to play golf. Whoever gave this course one star must have lost too many balls in the water or failed to call ahead to check for availablity. They will honestly tell you if they are busy or have just aerated, unlike some others in the area. I'd truly rate this course as 3 star. I give it the 4th star for the value. |

Excellent public course, Jun 29, 2004 |
| reviewer: DSS
from Wilmington, DE |
| I drive 45 minutes from Wilmington DE to play this course regularly. The King family takes excellent care of the course. The fairways are like walking on new carpet. Three deep ponds give them plenty of water to keep things green during dry spells. The ponds come into play on several of the holes making things interesting. Do I go for it or lay up? There are no geese and their dropings to mess up your round. Most of the other public courses in the area have that problem but the Kings have a secret that they are not telling the others. You can't beat the price, $24 to walk on a weekday morning. |
