This course features wide fairways. Water hazards come into play on numerous occasions. The signature hole is #12, a 435-yard, par 4, requiring an uphill tee shot with out-of-bounds stakes lining the left and trees on the right side of the fairway, then an approach shot is to a well-bunkered green.

I'm in college and can't spend much money when I go golfing. This course is great for the price. I've never paid under $20 like it says, but under $30. Fairways are big, which is great for me, greens are average. It is also a good length course for the average player.

"The New Miacomet"
Welcome to the new Miacomet!! Complete with 9 new golf holes capturing the essence of links golf. This Massachusetts island has a new name in public golf. This new layout if the wind is blowing is going to be a real challenge. The elevated tees give you a great look at fairway and positioning. The trick is to hit it there with the accuracy needed to conquer a 20 to 30 mile an hour wind. The golf staff were very professional in the running of the shop. Superb lessons provided by Mike's staff. State of the art lessons with Rob. Fantastic!! Bill Affinito's group are learning the paths and new roads that service the new course. Great job. And the new general manager, Alan Costa, fantastic, hard working, creative. The food service is top notch. come try the new course on Nantucket.

"interesting course"
The greens are well kept and very fast at times. Many are sloped and undulated which makes putting difficult at times. The course is pretty open but has a nice layout.

Hauppauge is nicer of the two clubs there. We allways get a green when we get there, and Mary likes your lunches better! I thought the pro shop was marvellous - I nearly went BROKE before I got out of there! Do you plan to expand?
