This executive course was built on rolling hills, but it has wide-open fairways. This is a great course for beginners and seniors to walk. Water hazards (four ponds) come into play on four holes. The signature hole is #6, a 350-yard, par 4, requiring a solid tee shot, then a short iron approach shot to an island green. Ladies tee off from the same set of tees as the men.

This course is probably the best manicured course in this area. The is beautiful and an ecellent walking course. Just beacuse it is smaller doesn't mean it isn't challenging. The Meisner's do a great job with this wonderful executive course.

Great course for beginners as it is a real short course with many par 3's. I am taking my girlfriend there who has never played before and it has been fun for her and me. Is really well keep and in great condition so is a good course for anyone to play even with experience. The front is more open and back has many trees that come into play. Is an all around good course with reasonable prices especially in spring.

ITS LIKE YOUR ON VACATION, FUN COURSE. ONE TANK GET-A-WAY. FRONT IS OPEN WITH SOME LONGER PAR 3'S, BACK IS TREE LINED AND TIGHT, WATER WATER! EVRYONE IN CLUB HOUSE IS ALWAYS SMILING. ENJOY A SANDWICH AND A BEVERAGE AFTER 18 HOLES. BRING YOUR SUNGLASSES BEAUSE SOME OF THE LONGER HOLES ARE RIGHT INTO THE SUN. ENJOY

Pines Municipal Golf Course, The
"Tough for it's size"
I'm origianally from Toccoa and have played this golf course many many times. While only a 9 hole course, it is worth the money to play it. It is far less expensive than most golf corses and offers real challenges for even experienced golfers. The terrain is extremely hilly and almost every hole has an extreme change in elavation. The green's are extremely small and very very fast. During the summer the fairways and greens are fairly well manicured although winter play tends to be a little harder on some holes due to a harder fairways from less moisture. Fairways are extemely tight with hundreds of opportunities to lose balls in pine forests and a courseside lake on the last two holes. Overall, not an allstar course but for a quick, challenging, and inexpensive round well worth the time.

This is an extremely well kept course. The course requires a wide variety of shots. If you are not on top of your game from the blue tees you will be in for a long day. The greens are very fast and hard to read. When you move up to the white or gold tees the course becomes very playable for the higher handicap player.

This golf course is sneaky long, but it is made difficult because the greens won't hold a shot longer than a nine iron, the greens are too small and there is very little space on either side of most of the greens to make a chip shot. This course is much poorer than several public layouts and the membership is both expensive and poorly managed.

"Great bargain for a great course!"
A fun and challenging course. Played the course for years and I have never seen it in better shape. The greens are fast but not out of control and the fairways are nicely kept. All in all, great low rates for a real nice course.
