The signature hole is #4, a 335-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot with an iron to lay up short of water, then an approach shot to an elevated green with heavy rough and trees lining the sides of the fairway.

$11 unlimited play isn't bad but course isn't in great condition.

I live less than 1 mile from this course and play it frequently. There is NO such "hole #4" that fits this sites description of Locust Valley's "signature hole!" TRUST ME. Play early in season before heat of summer and fairways and greens are in good condition. Otherwise, they're not.

Clifty Creek Golf Course
"Aluxinterior course review"
Clifty Creek is a subtle golf course isolated in the southern Indana landscape. Devoid of the typical golf snobbery this is a great course to relax with friends or work on your game. The only thing that this course is lacking is another nine holes and more sand traps, but I believe both are currently under construction.

River Valley Golf Course
"For the price one heck of a deal"
Much better than Fort Smith Country Club. The Fairways are great and the greens are wonderful. All for the front nine. The back nine is brand new. It is much more challenging but needs to grow in a little.

Argyle Country Club
"Hidden Gem"
Argyle Country Club is a little hidden gem that offers some challenging holes with a very lovely setting. The course starts off with a relatively easy par four but then you are faced with back to back par fives - never easy in the early part of a round! The sixth hole - the number one handicap - is deceptively challenging as is the par 3 seventh hole. Number nine is a nice front finishing hole. The back nine is quite beautiful with the number 12 par 5 offering a great view. Number 16 is a challenging dog leg leading to a stunning number 17 par 3, the "signature" hole. 18 is a great finishing hole leading to the clubhouse. Argyle is extremely affordable compared to other courses in the area. And, it never feels "stuffy." Enjoy!
