A Simply Great Muni Course, Jul 23, 2008
reviewer: Tim Kirk from Oklahoma City
I travel multiple states a year and golf in all of them. I appreciate finding a well maintained muni like Indian Pines. If you are visiting the area, this is the first course to play so that after traveling and driving hundreds of miles, you can get loosened up on the driving range and then play on nice turf, with friendly locals at a best buy price of only 20.00 including a cart, absolutely unreal. Pace of play moves right along even when crowded, so walk on and join up and get moving! I have played a lot of muni's in many states with a lot of them being barren dog patches, but this one, being a former country club many years ago, is the right place to work things out before going over to play Grand National which is simply awesome. The fairways at Indian Hills are green, plush and the greens roll really well. The fairways are wide enough to catch an errant shot, you have to hit a really bad shot to hit the tree line. So...loosen up at Indian Hills to get your game in shape, then go over to Grand National, don't forget also then to go to Auburn Links and finish up at Still Waters Cove. Very nice golf vacation indeed in the number one area of the USA. I had a great time! I shot in the high 70's at each of these courses this July of 2008.
