This course has plenty of trees that can affect your shots. Water hazards (ponds) come into play on two holes. Most all the sand bunkers guard the greens. The fairways alternate between hilly and flat. Robert Trent Jones, who married a Wells College alumna, redesigned several holes in the 1960's. There is an additional set of men's tees that can be used when playing an eighteen hole round.

| This course is nice to play and offers a variety of chalenges through out the course. Each hole is different with plenty of trees to hinder an off target shot. There is water that comes into play with ponds and a creek that is in play on #2 and #7 that will just grab your ball if not careful. The trees make it a cooler place to play on those humid hot summer days. Nice view as you walk down the 4th fairway overlooking the lake. After the course was changed I enjoy number 2 as it cuts across the creek and the green is garded by it and 7 as the green againn is garded by the creek. I cannot comment other than in a good way on all the holes. It is a very nice lay out also and easy to walk by walking down on number 4 and coming back up on number 6 but you really do not realize it is a hill because it is so gradule. All in all I have always found this course to be a pleasure to play. |
