This course has held Sectional Playability Tests for the PGA. The narrow fairways are tree lined, and the greens are well manicured. Water hazards (creeks) come into play on a number of holes. The course concludes with a 187-yard, par 3, which requires a carry over water to the green. Water also must be carried off the tee on hole #10, a 147-yard, par 3. This club is a member of the CCA.

"interesting course"
The greens are well kept and very fast at times. Many are sloped and undulated which makes putting difficult at times. The course is pretty open but has a nice layout.

Wynstone Golf Club

Wynstone is situated on a topographically diverse landscape, unbecoming of many Chicagoland golf venues. It has abundant wildlife which adds to the course's balance between a parkland and wetland. Wynstone also offers a unique challenge for any golfer. Not only is the golf course difficult at 7,000+ yards, but also presents a challenge to any comers at 6,500. Both birdies and bogies are easily found throughout the track. Finally, the course is maintained hard and fast. Fairways and greens are firm which requires and rewards shotmaking.

"Good for a short course"
I was visiting during a misty, rainy day but other than that I really enjoyed this course because it is not as easy as it looks. You really need to know your irons when playing this course. It's very easy to over-hit some of the holes.

Graysburg Hills Golf Course - Fodder Stack/Chimney Top Course
"Annual Spring Trip"
Great course. Well manicured. Friendly staff. Can't beat the green fees. Always our first stop (for two days) on our spring trip. Good luck on number 4 on Chimney Top. If you ever get on the green good luck putting.
