Excellent and challenging golf, Jan 06, 2011

Private golf club in the hills of Austin, Texas. Course features numerous blind shots, elevation changes, deep ravines, water hazards, and very tight fairways. As such, you will lose a lot of balls if you can't keep it down the middle. Course is very well kept and the scenery is wonderful. Cart paths are very steep up-and-down, making walking this course nearly impossible. Condition of the course was top-notch.

Wilshire Golf Club
"Good Challenge; Poor Conditions."
Wilshire is a challenge in disguise. With many decisions shots like weather to carry the creek on the first hole or whether or not to cut the corner off of the 17th. But the adverse course condidions can discourage most golfers that are looking for a challenge. Shabby fairways and greens give it a rough appearance but it is a good deal for the price.

"It's Okay"
This course is okay as far a playability goes. When I went there were dead spots of grass in the fairways and the greens, however we were in the middle of a drought during this time. For a small town golf course, it is pretty good.
