This is a very friendly course with a flat terrain and tree-lined fairways. There is a river and a brook that run through the course. The greens are well manicured and fast. Weekend tee times are reserved the previous Tuesday beginning at 7 AM.

Blue Fox run is a very easy golf course on the basis that it is quite flat and there are very few trees. There is one really cool hole on the back nine surrounded by water. One of my main dislikes is that the greens fees are very expensive for a public course.

With all of the Big Egos in professional and even some amateur sports today, it is SO refreshing and heartwarming to encounter a Gem like Suzy Whaley, the class A professional golfer at Blue Fox Run. This truly wonderful lady will greet all, even perfect strangers with the biggest, warmest smile possible at first sight. I had the pleasure of such an experience while waiting to tee off one day, and Suzy was driving the refreshment cart that morning!!! Oh yes, the course is laid out over a fairly level property, but can be "sneaky long" from the last 2 sets of tee boxes, and if the wind is blowing the challenge is certainly intensified.

Emerald Lakes Golf Center
"The nicest 9 hole around"
Emerald Lakes is a fun little course that provides the basic golf experiance to the younger golfers in the Elk Grove area. The course has many hazards, including hole 5 which is as good as an island hole as you could get at any 9 hole course. The Course tends to be real hard in the summer and extremely wet during the winter. Give the grass at least 3 or 4 days to soak up water after a hard rain or you'll be chipping out of the mud on most holes. Overall, the course provides just enough amusement to keep the low end golfers happy, while aslo providing a great practice facility including a driving range, chipping green, and putting green. The bottom line, this is the best 9 hole course in the Elk Grove Area.

Rancho Solano Golf Course
"Rancho review"
A medium difficult course with variable slopes,and hill sides with a different lie angle on nearly every shot. Large undulating greens with good speed. The greens are near perfect right now but that doesn't mean they're a push over. Making it one the green is only the start. A challenge.

Liberty Country Club
"Great Condition and Layout"
This course has a beautiful layout and hole construction. Similar to the old "country club" style courses, this smaller operation club gets the job done with what must be a low budget because the course is just in outstanding shape. The bent-grass fairways look good all year round and maintain their grass even in the hot summer afternoons of August. They also had great deals available for play during the week and for people wanting to have an outing. I'm definitely going to play at the Liberty Country Club again.

We are new members and we are loving this course. It is impeccably maintained and the course is challenging yet not too difficult that scores can't be made. I am happy to be a new member and can't wait for the fairways to dry out a bit so we can get some additional roll.
